You need to be appointed by Community Managers based on how you participate on the forums. Basically, you are hand-picked to become a TL3.

100% PC because:

  1. I can configure the hardware as I see fit and I am not constrained to a closed-source hardware platform that may not be able to run future versions.

  2. MSFS isn’t the only sim I fly.

    • XP-11 and 12.
    • FSX
    • FS 2004, (Century of Flight)

  3. I can use things like WhatsApp to communicate with my flight simming friends.

  4. Though I don’t know if X-Box has this capability, I usually keep a Firefox window open so that I can ask questions and monitor forums like this one.

  5. (AFAIK), it’s just a more flexible platform.

Not dissing the X-Box, this is just how it plays out for me as I’m not a huge gamer - flight simms are literally the ONLY games I play.

Note that I’m using “games” in a very broad sense here as I believe that MSFS hardly qualifies as a (ahem!) “game”. Though MSFS is marketed as a “game”, I really feel that it’s in a totally different league than games like Monsters and Zombies, World of Mechanized Blood and Gore, Fantasy Car Chase 2000, et. al.

I am running Windows 10 Pro with Bootcamp on a 2017 27" iMac. It uses a 4 core 4.2Ghz Core i7 processor with 64GB of RAM. My video card is the Radeon Pro 580 with 8GB of RAM and FS2020 is running on a dedicated high speed SSD connected via Thunderbolt 3.
