Sounds like a bit of a dig at PMDG, A2A etc…our little darlings at Aerosoft are so good they can make the current SDK work into a systems aircraft…strewth, was that Santa on a trial flight, that flew over my house…?

Christmas surprises (plural)? I doubt the sales promotion plan of the generous MS marketing guys is a sock full of unexpected early bug/feature fixes.
More likely, a few things (not all free) that can be widely advertised before Xmas to increase Xbox Series S/X sales and get the money people are willing to spend at that time of the year. 
Something free so that it does not look like just money-grabbing (POI and challenges to especially please gamers?), something that was promised anyway (charts?) and something long-term simmer would be willing to pay for (airports, planes?).
Not complaining though.

My guess (or rather wishful thinking) is either winter season (which is partially there but manual only ATM), and/or some new plane
VR was announced to be available before Christmas already so not a surprise anymore

Great try to keep the thread positive, but the sarcastic “fixed AP” responses are all too predictable I’m afraid - looks like you might be fighting a losing battle, which is just a shame and embarrsing for those people.
To try to get back on topic, I think it will be a snow bound remote landing challenge with Christmas lights - a bit like the Halloween event. Plus maybe the pre-order liveries pack with a Christmas livery or something like that
