What does "Airfrans" means?

I could not find this airline on the internet. But I hear it very often in ATC.

Are you sure it’s not “Air France” callsign?

I am sure since I read it very often. First I thought it could be something like Dutch. But I did not find it on the internet.

What language do you have the interface as?

What areas are you flying were you hear it the most?

Today I read it at Heathrow Airport and the language I use, English. But before I read it very often too. So I guess it will happen in every region.

Airfrans is the call sign of Air France

You can find the official codes of all current airlines here:

But where there stands it is called “Airfrans” with “s” instead of “ce”?

Nice page but i could not find “Airfrans”.

You’re not serious, are you?

Yes, I am absolutely serious. I know Air France. But I don’t know “Airfrans”. I am not joking. Next time I have ATC calling “Airfrans” I will make a screenshot and post it.

yes, to me it just look like they made it a little easier to say, a “s” instead of a “ce” shound

You didn’t bother to look then

Ok, you got me. I did not look at left side and thought all think that I am not able to write “France”. Anyway, when I google “Airfrans” I did not find your page.

Probably, but I don’t know how it is difficult to say France?

well i currently take french as a school course. and I can tell you that saying “Frans” is much easier than saying “France”, as in french you have to extend the “an” sound

I had french at school too but only for 5 years. And to me France is no problem. But Frans confused me.

I did, but i just focused on the column in the center. And I did not get this page with Google “Airfrans” so how could I bother?
