What gates or ramps to use with the CJ4 ? I want to call the stairs and refuel but I am unsure what type of parking to use. CJ4 isn’t GA I don’t think, and the big boy gates have jetways.
Thanks.

IRL, the CJ4 has it’s own set of stairs once you open the hatch. It would qualify as a Medium-sized GA plane.
Of course the CJ4 is a GA Plane.
Business Jets are normally parked at the GA ramp. Some airports have a dedicated GA Terminal. But it’s a question which is quite hard to answer, because every airport is different.
And the CJ4 doesn’t need stairs. It has its own ![]()
Thanks for the guidance. I always thought GA was the smaller planes. That is why I asked. Y’all are great.
GA = Ganeral Aviation (ICAO: An aircraft operation other than a commercial air transport operation or an aerial work operation.) so basically even a 747 can be GA ![]()
For Airport Design within the Flight Simulator follwing standard is used:
RAMP, used for GA (or remote parking at an bigger Airport fpr CAT). A CJ4 with nearly 16m wingspan qualifies for a medium size ramp that is mostly set to 10.3m parking radius.
GATE, used for CAT (if GA is configured correct they will NEVER park there as long as a ramp is free).
If you have setup your CJ4 correct (hopefully Asobo did so already by default), the parking type should be set to RAMP, so internal ATC will always guide you to a RAMP if possible.
