What happened to the marshallers in 2024

Not sure where to ask this question. I also put in the wish list forum.

Does anyone have any insight into if they are available or will be added?

moved to User Support Hub as OP is asking for assistance

Really asking to have marshalls added to MSFS 2024, like they were in 2020.
They don’t exist evidently in 2024 as far as I can tell.

Hi @Sixtymikegrr. You could create a wish for that - just check that no wish already exists!

I miss them in 2024 as well.

Should be on the wishlist

Marshallers and Ground Workers are not working on FS2024 (even on beta)

I have notice that on Beta, sometimes the marshaller’s light signals are visible on their hands, but
they are not being rendered.

I have already tried to create the gate-to-gate flight in the flight planner. I have already tried to start the free flight without selecting gates. Neither attempt was successful.

I’ve made a video with some images from FS2020 where on every occasion, upon arriving at the airport, there was always a gate where all the ground equipment was already waiting for the aircraft to arrive, as well as the marshaller guiding us to the position.

In FS2024, this never works.

This is a basic required feature in a daily Airline Operation.

They don’t show up for me either in the game. Infact haven’t seen them at all. Disappointing as 20 had them

Tested with SU2 today, no changes.. The marshaller is there, but its not being rendered and/or working

Sad

Tow live streams today on youtube and nothing works on ground services.

Look who is back.

The ‘character quality’ need to be at least in “Medium” to the marsheller and ground workers to be shown. In LOW the FS2024 its considering like ‘disable’ wich isn’t right.

But at least its a walk around to have the marshallers working in the sim.

Moved to User Support Hub since a solution has been marked.

This is cool. Do we need to select the destination parking stand in the free flight menu before starting the flight for the Marshaller to show up?

Or do they show up on random parking spots as well?

Also is this SU3?

Thanks for letting us know this is now fixed.

Generally if you don’t select a spot at destination, It will select a random gate for you.
Working for all versions on FS2024

I am running MSFS 2024 in my PC with good components, and most of the sim works fine. My biggest issue right now is the lack of marshallers at airport gates whenever I pull in. No matter what airport I arrive at, even when I set a gate in the free flight menu, even when I call for a gate with built-in ATC, there is no marshaller at the gate. I have character quality set at ultra and airport services variety at high. My normal flow for IFR flights where I use the gates is to load into the free flight menu, set a departure and arrival gate at the airports in my flight plan, then load into the world map and fly with BeyondATC until parking. Default and add-on airports, neither has them. Looking for suggestions and help on the matter.

Using your settings, was able to get one at KPIE (SU4):

Have you tested without any addons installed ?

I have tested airports and aircraft, without a flight plan and using built in ATC. My findings are as follows:

With Community Add-ons: I was able to get a marshaller at KPIE, but not at KMCO, KTYS, or KASE. Before starting the flight, I tried selecting a gate and not selecting a gate, neither worked. This was with the 737 MAX. A marshaller appeared when I landed in EDDF with the 747-8i.

No Community Folder Add-ons Except FSLTL, Winwing and Navigraph: Marshaller Available at KGSO and KJWN in the DA40, missing from KJWN, KBNA, KGSO with B38M. Marshaller available with C172 at KBNA. Also available at EDDF with B748.

From my findings, its seems like an issue with the default 737 MAX, as the other aircraft I tested had marshallers, even at the same airport where the 737 had no marshaller. Wondering if anyone else has the same issue

Using same airport/gate than in my previous test but this time with the B737, I still get the marshaller so not sure if aircraft type related:
