Being new to VR it’s been a learning curve. I’ve watch many videos and have read so many threads, some related to MSFS and some just gaming in general.
So much comes down to your PC setup and personal preference, so I’ve been adapting and trying things I read.
I’m running the Meta Quest 3
At the moment I have a forayed into Virtual Desktop and this seems to have improved my Sim experience. Though it was also frustrating when the sim suddenly would not boot in VR mode, I had to start a flight in Desktop mode and then go into VR (still not sure what’s going on there )
I’m buying a 6E Router and will be trying my hand that way as I think that is my final missing piece to be cable free and running the way I want.
Things are running smooth and look decent. But perhaps some help needed to find out why the colours are slightly washed out looking? Is there a setting I can adjust ?
To anyone just new like myself , turn off the hand tracking. It’s really annoying while trying to use my joystick and throttle.
I’ve also noticed some aircraft the pilot seat is not set correctly and too far back. What’s the best way to adjust this?
I have position forward/back and up/down mapped to joystick buttons, and use those.

I have the Q3 and took me about 2-3 weeks to get it going right fine tuning. I did get a 6G router. Watch out that the router actually streams 6G… lot of funny ads out there. I had to return one. It does stream at 2400MBs.

Not cheap but industrial strength. If the link does not work was the ARCHER BE550… BE=BEAST.
Amazing experience nowadays, especially with the new 581.80 driver and BSB2. 75FPS native now possible with DLSS balanced and medium clouds. It has come a long way since launch. Hope it continues to improve with it coming to PSVR2 etc.
EDIT: Beta .23 made it worse again lol

I installed a dedicated 6e wifi router to use for VR,all I can say is that for VR (Meta Quest 3) it made was the final touch that took it from ok to “ Ok, now I get it” The clarity is outstanding, I can read everything.
I’m running smooth locked in at 70fps.
Finally it’s all coming together

Have to agree, a long way - feels also ‘ages’ better now. DFR is the cherry on top that made it for me on my 4090 sys with a Vive Pro 2 (pre ordered a Crystal Micro OLED, have to wait until 2026 i guess)
i want to also, but honestly Pimax worries me…..
Would be nice to know how much better it is than the Q3. Doubt it can do much for the clouds. But at the end of the day my VR is better than I expected. The 6G helped.
I think with SU4 beta now, the VR has better performance than FS20, and it is noticeable in complex default airports, almost not stutters flying over them now with the F-18 e.g.. And SU4 isn´t the “SU” dedicated for performance that devs told in the past, right?, so it could be better even in the future?. Good work, thanks.

I bought this router recently. It is in fact, a beast. And with the 2.5GB ports it goes so hard for VR.

SU4 showing real promise for me in VR.
Win10 3090 Reverb G2 based system is producing a smoother experience with less stutters of late.
Last flight in the Vision jet from CBR2 in BC to Glacier Park in heavy clouds was sheer enjoyment.
Had a few CTDs in earlier versions of SU4 but none lately.
PMDG 777 performance also impressive and acceptable at EGLL but obviously not as smooth when taxiing.
Overall best experience so far in either sim and thanks Asobo for delivering on VR at last.
