What if Software is corrupt, can it be re-downloaded, maybe Repaired?

Hi - I am having a lot of issues with my flight - to tell you the truth I have not yet completed a full flight - flight is not stable - aircraft do not adhere to flight plan - not even to heading - can I ask one thing: Can I repair, re-download my version? Can someone help me.

Graphics are awesome but otherwise, at least, maybe my version is horrible . . . .

try this

  1. Close flightsim

  2. Navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore

  3. Delete all fs-base-cgl-0.1.21.fspackage.NNN and fs-base-cgl-0.1.21.fspatch files.

  4. Launch filesim. It will download all those files again and hopefully decompress them correctly this time.

  5. Then it will continue downloading/decompressing .

Hi - first of all thanks for your help . . . . I must apologise to all and even to microsoft - now it is working perfect . . . . I tell you what it was, maybe you are curious . . . Before I downloaded the game I got a notification to download windows update (Windows 10) - so I typed update in the left line below and went to the windows update page - so windows found some updates and told me that now my system is up to date BUT still had version 19 something - now I was reading about clients having trouble - and someone said that the version of windows 10 must be 20 something - so I googled and I found a microsoft windows which let me download to my system a small file to check whether I have the latest version, and then told me it is not - so I downloaded latest version and now I am ok.

Thank you once again . . . .

I looked in Drive C: where I installed the game - and there is no AppData and no folders from Microsoft - I have no idea why. Maybe they are hidden?

read [alpenlaender] post above… the app data folder is located in your USER directory, not the install directory (something like c:\users\someuser\appdata)
and you need ot ensure explorer is showing hidden files…

Ok thanks since then i found it from the start key before I start microsoft flight simulation I hit right-click and it gives me the option to repair.
