I like to fly older planes that require more levers but have the constraint that I need to convert back my desk into a job workspace during the week. This means I need things to be easy to pop on and off the desk. So I came up with the following. The using SPAD.NEXT and the Streamdecks up top give me all the cockpit switch control I need. I use under desk mount plates to connect my Honeycomb Bravo to the desk using clamps. This freed up the mounting plate that usually mounts the Bravo to the desk. So with that I have attached Logitech Pro quadrants to my Honeycomb Bravo using shelf made from 2x4 that clamps in on the mounting plate. This allows my to take the whole assembly off the desk by just loosening the main clamps at the desk. I can also just pop the Logitech mounting shelf off if it isn’t needed by unmounting the mounting plate from the bottom of the Honeycomb
Ooh very cool setup - I’m going to take a note of this one. Thanks for sharing!
I’ll draw up the plans in a bit. Assuming you have an under desk mount you just are deck screwing 5x 7 inch length 2x4s and then clamping the base plate to it.
Can you point me in the direction of the 3d printed bravo levers please
Yep!!! Their DC-3 throttles are amazing!

Must have been the zoom on my camera, not sure why the overhead looks so wide!
Here is it removed from the desk
As you can see here the 2x4 shelf sits in the original base plate clamps
That then can be easily popped on and off using the base plate peg mount.
One more angle to show how the 2x4s are attached to each other.
Hey Skypilot - I notice you have a number iPad devices hooked up there - are they connected directly to your rig and you’re using them as monitors? I’m counting a total of 5 monitors and 3 iPads. I’m thinking through using a couple of cheap, refurbed iPads as displays for PFD, MFD, and maybe a EICAS panel but I’m wondering how to connect that many display devices. Any advice?
Yes, they connect using SpaceDesk which turns them into touch screens, and then I use Air Manager for the cockpits to fly mouse free.
Hi,
do you get any lag when using space desk? I seem to be having a lag issue when using it on my 10 inch Samsung tablet, now I don’t know how to rectify the issue.
It ONLY seems to happen when msfs is active at the same time, as I have no lag when msfs is not running. Any ideas about this?
No lag on the iPads or the Samsung Tablet.
You can go into the settings options on your Samsung and try and change the resolution, or overall quality.
Yeah I’ve tried that, doesn’t seem to help at all, no worries, I’ll try and fiddle about with it a bit more, thanks anyway.
It may just be because my Samsung is really old lol.
Cool - thank you! I’ll take a look at both.
