Hi there,
What is a good addon or program that would let you know where you are at the airport, after you have landed your aircraft at your destination, ie looking for your parking spot? Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Navigraph or the Navigraph addon. It will show your current location on maps including the airport parking diagrams.
I have Little Navmap running, also use the VR version if I’m “under the hood”. It takes it’s source from the sim, including scenery and airport files.
I use LNM and it can do that. It does not have all the fancy things that Navigraph has, but let’s see the basics:
It’s all I need, and it has them all. This is a screenshot (right now):
The yellow airplane is me, just outside the parking zone.
Of course, this is not a tablet with an airport chart and your position on it, but it gets the job done.
Unfortunately the Flight Planner charts included with FS2024 rarely match the actual airports in the sim so you it looks like LittleNavMap is the best free option, as it charts whatever is rendered in the sim. At least SACO has the correct taxiway labels.
It depends. The charts show the AIRAC data of the airport, so that is the ‘truth’
The problem with a lot of (mainly smaller) airports in MSFS is that they are semi-automatically generated and have therefore random taxiway/parkingspot assignments. These do not always line-up with IRL, but the charts are how they are IRL.
So if flying with an online ATC service (like Vatsim), you should stick to the charts.
I also highly recommend freeware Little Navmap, just like the previous commenters suggested.
I’m on Xbox so options are limited but these work for me:
I wish more developers would include these functions in their products.
Exactly, as you can see on the screenshot above. The parking and gates rendered by MSFS have nothing to do with reality. The chart quoted above is correct, the official chart shows the same parking and gates, but the one in LNM, which comes from MSFS 2024 database, are quite different with the exception of taxiways.
Just a heads up, if I recall correctly Safe Taxi requires a navigraph subscription and it’s a premium feature (paid).
