Potentially so. But I think it’s more of a case of not caring enough to do so. The plane’s systems are what takes a lot of time and effort to get even partially right. That means more dev time and costs. If they know they can get away with selling their products without a VC at all and the 3rd person apologist pilots will come out of the woodwork to defend them while making maximum profit, why would they put any effort?
- Buy a 3D model from a 3rd party
- skin it
- do the minimum amount of work to get it functional
- profit
