What is causing Scenery Tiles to pop in and out like this?

What is happening here to cause this?

After all this time and mucho money spent… still this. No wonder I don’t click on msfs much these days.

Sure hope 2024 version is better and not just more features that are painted over the stains/pains of 2020.

As the link noted by @NixonRedgrave, it could be a bug in MSFS.

What are your computer specs?
Screen shots of General Settings as well.
I see that tiling behavior occasionally, but nowhere near as bad as what you are seeing.

I do know that with Rolling Cache on (in a RAM drive) I don’t see it at all if I fly over the same area a second time. I know that doesn’t help when doing a new flight plan in a different area every time. But it definitely helps when I’m practicing landing approaches - even in difficult areas like KLAX.

  1. Try clearing your rolling cache.
  2. If you have installed any mesh scenery, try uninstalling it. I had this identical thing happen in New Zealand, and when I uninstalled the ORBX mesh, everything displayed perfectly.
