Not the best angle to show it off actually.
I was at 10,000ft, with the lower cloud tops only reaching 5,000ft. The layer above me was about 15,000ft. It was just two well separated layers of cumulus, nothing remotely stormy.
Unfortunately, as it’s wet season in Northern Australia, it seems MSFS interprets any cloud at all as storms, injecting lightning everywhere. Every day since October there’s been lightning here. I guess it’ll last till March.
My guess is it’s based on some sort of moisture/temperature/connective(L.I. or CAPE) formula that simply doesn’t work in this type of atmosphere.
