What is the best virtual memory settings for MSFS now?

Hello everybody,

I was experiencing CTD’s which were caused by too low virtual memory. I have I9-9900K computer, with 32 RAM and a GTX MSI 1080 with 8 VRAM.

The CTD’s were solved by turning on the “automatically manage paging file size for all drives” option.

But is this now the best option for MSFS to prevent CTD’s and let it run smoothly? Or does anyone recommend a better setting for the allocation of the virtual memory?

If anyone knows, please let me know.

I would guess, it’s the few RAM of the GPU, that causes the CTDs.

Hi Boudewijn, just curious : with this configuration, how long does it take your computer to start up and get to the start screen where can select your flight ?

Hello, I do not know I did not clock it. But not very long, I would guesstimate 5 minutes or so.
