I can’t seem to find the runway, and even when I let the ‘copilot’ try, all we do is go around in circles, up and down the same taxiway. I’m assuming a user issue, but…
It should be straight ahead…
That’s what I thought too. I went straight ahead and turned left to an East departure. I’m gonna try again tomorrow. Thanks!
The airport is straight ahead, but the runway is at a 50ish-degree angle to your departure runway. So you should make a right turn out of the airport followed by a left turn in order to line up for landing.
I believe there is a line of flight drawn on startup that shows a sharp right turn after takeoff to fly from the airport and then turn back. Just check out the start video. I found it hard with the choice of aircraft given to do it, Good luck.
It’s funny, I was having issues with just moving on the ground!..lol
Thanks! I was having issues with just finding the runway. I’m gonna try later today and see if I can find it and actually complete the flight.
Oh…well, that’s a different story! My mistake!
Yeah, the airport is basically a T. You’re at the bottom of the T, and the runway is the bar running across the top of the T.
I strongly suggest back-taxiing rather than an intersection departure, unless you like taking a swim!
KLAS to KXTA as a weekly flight should be interesting. Taxi instructions make for a good random password generator.
Well that helps! Shoot, maybe I need more monitors so I can see things like that looking at charts etc…darn!
I was (seriously) looking for a good password generator just yesterday.
If you’re really stuck, the vfr map is there for exactly this reason. I tried it a couple of times with the map on, then tried full immersive.
Yeah, I should try that, generally I assume I can find the runway, clearly I was wrong in this case.
Bitwarden is a great password manager.
