Poor photo I accept, I took this on my mobile of something flying overhead, any idea what it is ?
- already zoomed in considerably
I’m pondering a Shorts …. taken near Warrington, UK, maybe 10,000’ , certainly nowhere near airline altitude. Very quiet, could’ve been coming in to land at Manchester I suppose.
Just doesn’t have the shape of the usual airliners I see. They aren’t that low either.
Below, is a Shorts
Does it look like it???
Most likely out of Hawarden

Yep, looks like a Beluga. Airbus A300-600ST (Super Transporter). Some information here

Space shuttle?
Seriously though, I think the posters above have it with the Beluga. Triple tail and low wing, so the Shorts is ruled out.

Clearly it’s an Airbus Beluga Super Transporter.
But to far to identify if it’s the “old” Beluga ST or the latest beluga XL.

Well, that’s a first for me, first time I’ve ever seen one of them….. though not exactly up close.
That would be a novel plane to fly in the sim.
Had a google, as you do, after seeing where they fly to, I popped it into SimBrief, Hawarden to Hamburg, and its flight plan takes it close to where I was.
30 miles from where I live …. might be a day out there.
I’m turning into a plane spotter!
It’s in the standard content for 2024.

Ok, thanks for that. I’m still in 2020 though.
