I think you’re missing a crucial bit of information here.
Most of the posts with textual explanations of the fix are either not written very clearly, leading to some confusion. But all of them I’ve seen so far leave out the crucial initial step to correctly “initialize” the first state of weather required for this workaround to actually function.
In some cases where it worked for people, the users were likely already in that initial state without knowing it. For those that it didn’t work for, they weren’t in that initial state when they tried the workaround, therefore it didn’t work. I’ve tested that fix in multiple ways. And there’s only 1 way in which it works every time. Miss that first step, and it doesn’t. This is what I’m trying to help people understand to get their weather working.
Out of everyone I’ve helped out with it so far, it’s worked 100% of the time, even for people for whom it didn’t work for when they tried following the written instructions.
