I´m using Microsoft Sidewinder Pro (20 Years old!)
And I am satisfied .
When available I want to buy
Logitech G X56 H.O.T.A.S. Hope it will be better.
I’ve just bought a Virpil Mongoos base and am using it with a Thrustmaster F/A-18 grip. Fantastic combination, but maybe more suited to combat than civil aviation.
Also, not cheap.
You can’t really ask this question without giving your budget.
The ‘best’ joystick or yoke could go up to over a thousand dollars.
If you’re looking for something reasonably priced, I would suggest the Thrustmaster T16000M or the airbus branded TCA Flightstick.
They both use the same (hall effect) sensors, which give great accuracy and don’t tend to bug out like most pot sensors will. Great value for money. Using the T16000M myself, and I’m really happy with it.
Honeycomb Alpha Yoke is the best in my opinion. For joysticks I have heard great things of the Thrustmaster Airbus one, but never tried it. I used to have the Thrustmaster T.Flight.Hotas 4 and within 1 month of usage it started giving input when centered, it is now unusable.
I have usd 250
Thanks
I upgraded from the TM HOTAS X to the TM HOTAS Warthog. What a huge difference! I strongly recommend the Warthog.
I still use the HOTAS X for throttle, and for flying the drone.
Since you say your budget is $250, I think the best stick in that price range would be the VKB Gladiator NXT.
I use the Thrustmaster T.16000M - I am very happy with it. The HOTAS that came bundled with it, not so much. I’d look elsewhere for a HOTAS. (Bundle included a FCS HOTAS - also by Thrustmaster.)
If you don’t want something too intricate, you can’t go wrong with a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Had mine for about 8 years, I think.
