What should I do with 266 folders and files in my community folder?

MSFS2020 after the last update does not work with what I have in my community folder. Without that, everything is ok. And now what should I do with my 266 folders and files that I have in the community folder?

Move them to a temporary location and run the update. See how it does the. Start adding them back in.

Thanks for your answer. I’ve done that, and you recommend that I check each folder separately. Did I understand correctly?
If so, there is no other simple solution because checking every 266 folder takes a lot of time.
I will be grateful for your help.

Most of the mods are going to need updates i would imagine, but you can try to just put them all back into the community folder and see how it goes.

MSFS Addons Linker can help with selectively loading certain addons. I suggest watching the tutorial video linked on the mod page:

Rather than putting them “all back” at once, try adding them back in batches. If you add them back in groups of 10, it will be far faster than adding them one at a time, and if it breaks you only have to look through 10 addons to work out which one is causing the problem.

Or better yet he can add 1 addon and start the sim to test it out. If it fails he will know exactly which addon is causing the problem

Sure, but then he has to start the sim 266 times, which can take forever. If only some addons are causing fatal exceptions, then my method is a far more efficient way of working out which one

Ya I prefer starting it 266 times

(Just kidding)

With advice from friends in this forum (adding back in batches), I have checked about 240 out of 266 files and folders and they work perfectly. Many Thanks.

huy…i lm checking on that msfs addons linker…seems awesome…
but a few questions…

  • so we won’t copy mods liveries airports etc… in the community folder anymore ?
  • before installing updates in the future, so we won’t have to empty that community folder ?

M I understanding right ?

in the linker, what will be the path to community ? the regular one , i mean the default one of the sim…??

Cheers for your help…
