An in-game 3D repaint studio, where users will be able to create a new livery of their choice inside a 3d paint studio, similar to the Hangar we have now in 2020 but with the ability to take the plane into a paint shop and give it a custom livery that can be saved and then flown. Similar to what car/racing games like Forza Horizon and Need For Speed. Just like these games, you can upload your custom creating to the cloud etc, for other users to download and use for themselves etc and so you can also download other users liveries.
I just feel this would be an awesome addition to the amazing sim that 2024 will be. So many users would love this. It also means the repainters like me can create repaints a lot faster and quicker and without error as we will be seeing it in the sim as it changes, which would be a dream come true. There would be no more having to completely restart the sim to correct a livery error or mistake.
Please have a look into this and see if you can make this happen.

Raytracing and bringing the Fenix to absolute visual flawless perfection in V 2.0 .
The FlyByWire A380 finally released. And that awesome looking A350 from that new development team.
Aaaaaw that´s what I want the most…
But I also want more impressive thunderstorms and castellanus clouds, raytraced cloud illumination, better cloud rendering with some transparency effects while not beeing deep into the cloud layer, and some other beautyful cloud visual enhancements.
Oh maybe at least one screenshot of the planned PMDG 737 EFB.
And one screenshot of the PMDG 777 to see if there will be the same awesome fluffy seats as in the 737…
More VFR Flyings:
I always want something like flights in the early ages of planes, basically early 20th century before GPS even vor. New VFR missions in 2020 is a great innovation, I hope it can be integrated into career mode.
Multiplayer career:
I would like to be a pilot of a big airline and have colleagues.
Shared Cockpit:
Something you can play with your friends without sharing the same pc. And some professional players may be willing to teach me more while flying.
Better performance:
I doubt whether 5090 can publish in 2024 and I want to play mfs in vr so I want a 90 fps experience with ultra quality and dlss on.
Yesss!!! More awesome eighties airplanes. Like the L-1011 Tristar, PMDG´s Queen of the Skies Boeing 747, the Boeing 737 variant with the legendary Smiths Industries EIS, and some more. Lovely!
Of course the Airbus A320 is from February 22nd 1987, that´s why its one of my favorites
The ability to have different camera views in spawned windows facilitating the ability to have the instrument panel on another monitor.
A fully functional and easy to use recording/replay system that eliminates the need to use 3rd party products. An good example is “SkyDolly”.
A flour bombing event.
The following aircraft: Aeronca 7AC Champ; Aeronca C-3; Curtiss Robin; Fleet Model 7; Curtiss Model-D Pusher
The ability to do a “walk around” with animated “pilot” (steerable hanger view people).
Full exploitation of installed hardware features to improve performance. A good example is PowerDirector.
Drivable ground vehicle (car or pickup) – can drive off airport.
Flyable camera drone (like DJI’s).
The ability to save a flight “as is” and resume it at a later time with the same date, time, weather, location, altitude, direction, speed, aircraft, aircraft settings.
The ability to save controller setups with a plane.
Detailed “Northwest USA” scenery.
Aircraft carriers (WWII and Current).
The ability to use Google maps (improved detail and color).
Brightness control on instrument panels.
Customizable HUD, including analog instruments.
Consistent on-screen controls (same keys do same function on very screen).
Auto performance tuning of settings based on hardware capabilities (CPU/GPU/MB/RAM) – run a benchmark and set graphics settings appropriately for optimized performance.
Upgrades that don’t back off previous fixes.
Interface usability improvements - streamlining (reduce/minimize “clicks”). (You will need to consult programmers that are older than 40).
Eliminate “sound bursts” that occur during startup when background sound/music muted.
My arguments for what should be included in the leap from MSFS2020 to MSFS2024 that could improve the sim significantly and provide a more realistic and immersive flight simulation experience.
ATC Overhaul: MSFS2024 should focus on developing a much-improved realistic dynamic Air Traffic Control system. Gone are the days of repetitive and robotic ATC communication. Instead, we need human-like controllers capable of handling complex scenarios and efficiently managing traffic
AI Aircraft and Traffic: Enhancing realistic AI traffic movements, with aircraft interacting intelligently with players and other AI entities, creating a truly dynamic environment. Much improved AI aircraft behavior and expanding the variety of aircraft models, including military.
Advanced Weather and Seasons: Realistic and more sophisticated weather engine across the board.
Ground-Level Realism: Improving the quality of photogrammetry at the ground level. Bridge the gap between the high-altitude beauty and the less detailed and sometimes blocky melted scenery found at lower altitudes.
Pilot/Passenger Experience: A robust Pilot/passenger simulation would add a new layer of immersion. This could involve realistic boarding procedures, cabin interactions, and the ability to manage passenger during flights
Living World: To create a truly immersive and believable world, MSFS2024 should incorporate dynamic elements like moving trains, more sophisticated ground vehicles, and pedestrians. The presence of life on the ground will add to the overall realism.
Deeper World Interaction: Allowing pilots to interact more seamlessly with the virtual world would be a huge improvement. Active aviation activities, the ability to open doors, refuel aircraft, load cargo, and perform other realistic pre-flight, during flight and post-flight activities. This has already been mentioned in the first trailer for MSFS2024.
It would be nice if the buildings could be a bit more contextualised. Not all Brits live in Tudor houses. Even the caravan parks near the coast are populated with miniature Tudor houses packed like sardines. Also, if waterways have pointy objects on them, there’s a fair chance that they are boats. Not a problem from 30,000 feet, but when you are sightseeing in a helicopter it’s another matter.
Being mostly a GA flyer, what I want is lots of busy small strips and airports, with lots of GA traffic coming and going.
In the current sim large airports are alive with traffic and bustling business. Most small strips in the UK at least are dead, and that’s sad when flying in and out of them.
There’s no reason why the runway grass should be longer than the surrounding grass - it would be safer to land there! And this example is default with the Eastern Europe world update…
No doubt we’ll have better performance, but you just know there will be some folks who say I can run MSFS using a 4090 in Ultra and I can’t do the same in MSFS 2024… (note: just an example!)
You do realise the problem here right? MSFS 2024 is rendering at a higher graphical fideltity and therefore you’ll need to scale back options to get better performance but in theory the sim should look at least as good if not better than before.
The improved CPU threading though should at least mean CPUs are less of a bottleneck so it really should depend on how good you want the sim to look and the trade-offs should yeild higher fps.
We’ll see, obviously the size of the grass was probably tied to performance, like in FSX with oversized trees and houses which the development team freely admitted to. Pretty sure all aspects of the procedural tech will get updated though.
Like a good console it can take several years for development studios to mature there games. Only recently we’re seeing absolutely gems of airports from NZA Simulations and Pyreegue Dev and A2A with there Comanche. Asobo and iniBuilds brought us the ‘default’ A310 which is fantastic.
To say MSFS is over the hill is laughable. I had a flight in London yesterday in VR and the weather is typically bad right now and the flight was so moody and evocative, it felt a privledge to be having this incredible flying experience.
So when I read your comment. I just laughed. Fear not, MSFS 2024 will bring more of a focus to flying activities if you are struggling to occupy yourself in MSFS which I think could be the issue?
I’m usually pretty positive about Microsoft and Asobo because on the whole MSFS has given me purpose and enjoyment and they’ve resurected a hobby I thought was dead and burried.
However there is something not right about how bugs are triaged, accepted and managed. In my opinion, they need a new dedicated system tied to these forums which is updated in realtime which bridges the gap between Zendesk and these discussion and to expose this system to folks who actually give a monkeys like the patch flighting teams and third party developers.
The voting system just doesn’t work, it does nothing to propertly articulate the severity or priority of a bug, issues just seem to get lost in the pages of more established larger known issues which never appear to get addressed, when in actual fact they could be working on some quick wins which would add a lot more value.
