What will be the next best realistic flight sim be?

There are practical limits to consider. Yeah, you can make a world simulator, sure. But then you need a a whole world’s worth of developers and designers. Things look stretched pretty thin around here as it is.

You also have to consider that Flight Simulator is built on top of FSX and Asobo’s in house open world engine. It might be well suited for this application, but you’re going to run into mounting problems as the title expands that may eventually require a whole rewrite.

Those are really cool demos, but, and I mean no offense, the graphics are not great compared to many other titles. Some of it’s actually kind of terrible in comparison:

The world graphics don’t hold up at the near range of a few feet. They work great at 3,000 - 30,000 feet, but they don’t work at 300,000 feet. These are the kinds of practical limits that need to be worked around, and this software might already be pushing its own limits.
