From what I understand, FBW are currently using their own FMS that’s a customized version of the old WT system. And it works quite well.

But it’s certainly possible they customized it to a point they won’t have to. Much like Fenix and PMDG have their own custom systems.

The flight planning is based on a modification of the CJ4 mod flight planner, somewhat adapted to the A320. LNAV and VNAV are custom. The upcoming FMS update replaces the flight planner with custom code too.
