I might have mis-remembered the processor, but it is an AM4, and supposedly a darn good processor for that socket w/o costing $300 each.

I don’t care about VR or 4k. I believe my monitor runs 1920 x 1080 or something like that, a good HD resolution.

Ultimately I would like the visuals to be as realistic as possible because I mostly fly VFR dead-reckoning, navigating using visual landmarks. Though sometimes I cheat by using the GPS display to point me back to my home airport if I really get lost.

I am big on “sighting” flights, as in “pick a direction and go exploring”. I would like to be able to go to an airport someplace interesting I’ve never been before and check the place out with reasonable detail and accuracy.
Currently I am overseas, stuck in Russia for the foreseeable future, so things like Amazon or Micro Center are not available - and the video cards that are available are very expensive - the one I mentioned weighs in at over $500 USD (converted from Rubles), and that is a strain on my budget.
Given my 'druthers, I’d love to have a $$$ gaming beast with VR and/or a few monitors, (and a cockpit mockup and a . . .), but both space and budget don’t allow that. So I am trying to get the best I can within a limited budget.
So, what’s good for those desires?
