Technically the G3X doesn’t have an AP capability without a GFC (if sticking to a full Garmin suite). So that is accurate. It does work in other products correctly when integrated with the right equipment. FSReborn’s Sting S4 comes to mind, there are others I’m sure.
The one feature that I miss on the WT G3X is the Velocity Vector, which for often hand flown planes (as opposed to immediately enabling AP upon reaching cruise, is extremely useful, especially in the landing phase.
