What XR219 said clear your shader cache it makes quite a difference. Also personally for me im using dx12 with vsync at 33% getting a solid 48fps stutter free. Not sure if this makes a difference but i have gpu scheduling set to on in windows as well as i believe that has to be on for dx12?
Should this be cleared from time to time? From what Ive read, it should only need to be cleared when switching DX mode? Anyhow, Im clearing this quite often I guess…
I do have stutter even at less graphical complex scenarios as well. Sometimes I guess its the servers (soo sensitive for this game), but sometimes not.
Where do I set to 120 or 60? In NCP? (Do I then need to change when playing games where I wanna take full advantage of the screen?) Or do you mean by the vsync settings (100, 50, 33…).
No, it’s the latest DLSS version not yet included in MSFS native … I can only speak for myself but everything is crystal and if there’s a regression from TAA then I can’t see it … Any rtx card should be able to run it.
I can’t speak about DLSS since I have an AMD card but I use the AMD Adrenaline’s external FSR and have reduced my ingame resolution to approximately 60%. My TV screen that I use as a PC monitor runs at 60 Hz and with VSync set to 1:1 refresh rate it’s a cristal clean and really smooth experience in the DC6 now, DX11. It required a bit of try and error but I’m really happy now. I’d encourage you to try and play around with your system a bit, the NVIDIA control panel is quite good if you don’t overdo it and there are really many tutorials around. Your system is not bad at all, really. 16GB is on the lower side but still capable enough, 3200MHz for a 5600X is absolutely fine. If you have stutters it’s a settings thing.
For store
C:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Content
is the location, I’m not sure for Steam. Just swap the old nvngx.dll with the new. It’s probably safest to keep a back up of the old one but move and rename it to avoid unwanted conflicts.
Ok. I have tried standard 8Gb, but also turned Rolling cache off (250/250 fiber), and also tried a higher number as 40gb. Not sure if I saw any difference really. mabye better with it off. not sure.
Hello, I have an RTX 3060 Ti also. I play at 1080p currently with V-Sync on at 50% of refresh rate, with preset on High. Airports seem to drop frames anyway if they are large/busy. I’ve searched around and I believe it’s just how it is currently. Most other places I will get 37 FPS which is fine for this game.
That’s just for the card only but the rest of your spec looks good. I should add I have it on DX11, so maybe try that too.
I have a slight uplift in performance and even clearer dlss graphics than before even though mine were never blurry. I don’t fly aircraft with big glass displays so I’ll leave that to others to judge … I’m sure Asobo will include it once it’s been tested thoroughly but as no one has complained so far it looks to be a safe mod.
This is kind of weird, with my 144hz LG I get MORE stutter if I lover to v-sync on and 100, 50, 33 etc - instead of having vsync off (which I have now).
