“Whats so bad about MSFS being on the xbox?”

As a pc owner with a top gpu / ok cpu / 32GB ram, i found that su5 (which coincided with the xbox release) downgraded the game graphically. Plus the other changes ie pc owners now needed to select legacy mode etc.

It’s not all bad, atleast the latest xbox is a powerful console. It could have been much worse, I recall when battlefield 3 came out on pc and xbox in about 2011. It was poor compared to BF2. It had max 32 players in multiplayer (BF2 was 64), much smaller maps, building were smaller… in short it had been seriously nerfed so it could be released on consoles at the same time. BF2 from 2006 was pc only and was better than BF3 apart from graphics.

I don’t see this happening to the same extent with MSFS because as i said and as has been pointed out by others, the latest xbox is powerful. Indeed, i watch with interest how the game evolves on xbox, what peripherals it will be compatible with, what 3rd party software will be allowed.

It it ever came to the point of being close to the pc version in the aforementioned things, i’d consider buying an xbox, but it’d have to support VR too, which i dont think will ever come to xbox.

No one can argue that the xbox is great value for money. The bigger userbase means more revenue for MS/Asobo which is good for the longevity of the game.

TL;DR the game has been nerfed slightly for pc users but its not all bad, far from it.
