I’m not a fan of consoles and I can never envisage owning one as, to me, they are pointless.
however, just like Football being something that I personally loathe, it’s hugely popular and influential on certain markets and goes to show that for some strange reason I am not the centre of the universe.
a strange concept.
I think the inclusion of the xbox to the game’s eco system is fine and actually bodes well for both PC and Xbox users.
I personally think its not a sudden addition at all and likely was planned since before day one.
even if the game is “nerfed” to suit Xbox requirements, don’t forget that their users also have fidelity expectations and I bet they can squeeze out a lot more performance from those limited specs than out of a theoretical no limit PC platform because they have to.
I think the reaction we see is the usual “us” and “them” tribalism humans are so intrinsically wired to follow.
look at them weirdos in the next village, they do things ever so slightly different there. the freaks!
I, for one, welcome our xbox cousins and think the extra cash injection from a massive userbase over the life of the project can only benefit us all.
