Looking for advice. I’ve seen some tools that can do this. Sometimes I just don’t feel like doing the whole pattern. Thanks!
If on PC, Press Y to activate SLEW mode then use arrows keys on the number pad to move left, right, forward, and back. F1 key to go down, and F4 to go up.
FS Instant Approach from FSInventions is one such ( payware ) tool.
All past versions of the sim you could simply place the aircraft in a position, either by slew or flying there, pause the sim and save it as a flight and then load it and it would work EVERY time!..if only they would sort this version out so you can save a default flight etc…sigh…
Pick a nice GA plane and spawn at W88. Tune Nav1 to 109.30. Take off to the west and climb . The first big lake you come to is Lake Brandt. Turn left and follow the the lake to the south-west. By now, you should have the ILS beam picked up. That will take you almost directly over my apartment and down to 23L at KGSO.
FSipanel is perfect for train different approach and landing scenarios.
