Hey guys. As usual we all are entitled to our own opinion so be free to agree or disagree. Now I’m beginning to see these little airports and airports for ridiculous prices. There are even better freeware options with similar quality! I’m seeing small airfields for $14.00 and up! I also notices that their descriptions try to show it as fancy as possible to justify the price. Yes, some small airports are starting to look more realistic and are worth the price, but some others are not even close. Just my opinion.

I agree. There’s a payware KGSO option out there that just plain blows, at least judging from screenshots. The same author has a paid addon for KAVL that still has the runway in the old place. But I have a freeware KGSO that, while it may use stock structures, at least the ramp is level and the taxiways have their correct designators. (I also have a free KAVL with the correct runway location.)
The public will ultimately decide which addons are worth the money by voting with their wallets.

There are many developers who are simply seeing what prices the market will tolerate at this point.
MSFS prices on average are lower than they were for various products compared to FSX/P3D days.
With that said, I think we also have quite a few devs relying on the bulk of users who are aware only of the in-game Marketplace, and may not know to venture to sites like flightsim.to or others to look at alternative options.
(I do not think many would immediately trust a .to domain either without already being involved in the various MSFS community forums).

scenery and airport creation request
Anyone I can ask to create a few smaller airports in the Texas Area? I would love to have KHQZ, T82, KGVT, KTRL, F46, KTYR. I know these are smaller airports but this is the area I fly in and around and it would be nice to have the airports within the game to look the same as some of them are so wrong it’s just hard to fly into them within the game but this area is my home area where I keep my C182 so please lead me to the right person who can create these. thanks

Usually works and those devs which charge more and give less do get known over time and eventually lose out to the more reasonable/more talented devs.
Ultimately, it’s up to the customer. Look at reviews and comments and just don’t buy if it’s not worth the price.
This question is like asking why they sold the Yugo.
But it is a good idea to give newbies a heads up that they need to look around.
I wish this was done more these days. In FSX I remember there was this payware airport with a demo version. After about 15 minutes all the airport buildings got replaced by giant black cubes and even the runway was got black cubes on it. But that trial time gave you enough feedback to gauge how it ran on your system.
Then of course we have XPlane 12 where you can use the 15 demo indefinitely.
