since a few days, i m having many issues with the sim and especially with a320 fbw…
since i had issues with the dev version, i uninstalled it and replaced it with the stable version…
I had a few issues, but assuming it had something to do with some liveries, i tried to find a stable one…and i deleted the “bad” ones from my community folder.
yesterday, i found out about that add on global airports textures…very excited about it…
i had many issues with the installation…not clear at all, especially with that rex installer…i tried like two hours, i was getting crazy…i was so frustrated that i bought it again from simmarket, as i know that the installations are easier…after another hour of fighting , i managed to install it in “my” community folder, and not the default microsoft one…
i was today ready to try it out then, decided to do a litlle flight from LEIB to LEPA…
the textures are better than the defalut ones, but not as good as the opictures posted from some of you…a bit dispappointed then…(or i did something wrong but i doubt it)
and then the nightmare begins…
impossible to keep it straigth on the taxiway, going by itself top the left and i had to put a lot of rudder to keep it kinda straight on the taxiway
as many of you, the plane is not following the flight plan…flying and circling to the left…tried to switch the AP on and off…nothing…even when the putting the heading manually …not working either, i had to switch off the AP and fly then manually…
the altimeter in not showing in hundreds…instead of showing 1000 2000 3000 4000 5000 … it s showing 100 200 300 and so on…
so all of that is very annnoying…
so i will have to go back with the asobo 320, which i dont like or go to the b737 then and try it out…
and still concerned about the global textures…
so i hope that the experts here will be able to find a way to make evrything flyable again…thanks in advance
true, it has been a while since i checked on that…hope it will solve that…
still concerned about my taxiing…even with clear weather and no wind, still going to the left even wit the default 320… i wonder if there is a link with the global textures add on, that might mess it up…may be should uninstall it and try again without so tee if there is a difference ?
There are a lot of unexplainable bugs with add-ons. Even simple liveries can cause problems.
Deleting and re-installing one-by-one for troubleshooting is the best way IMO.
true…i have many liveries, i think i will have to keep it simple…and just keep a few ones…better to make if less fancy may be and keep it straight forward…just a quick one, what would you recommend (percentage) for the dead zone…and sensitivity…i m not that savy about all of that
I installed Rex Global Texture myself, and I’m not seeing taxiing issues like you. And I’m on the latest development version released today. It doesn’t make sense for a texture replacement to affect taxiing.
It’s most likely a joystick deadzone issue for your Z axis. I know I do have that on my TCA Sidestick, that something inside it is keeping the sim getting rudder inputs even when I’m only holding the sidestick very still.
I usually had to “recalibrate” my sidestick (metaphorically) by holding it up, shaking it for a little bit, then do a full rudder movement left and right for a couple of times, before the rudder stabilises. Then I can taxi just fine afterwards. I also set my Z axis deadzone to 15%.
thanks neo for the infos…i will have to put some time on all that, and hope it will be ok… and i agree with you that the global textures shouldnt affect anyhting…it s just may be a “bad” coincidence or it s just not my day…lol
