If you want to do a check with the same TACAN station you can jump in something that has a TACAN radio like the FA-18. At least it did last time I checked which admittedly was quite a while ago now. Just for future reference the box that keeps getting referred to as 520 is actually called a GNS 530. That’s an abbreviation for Garmin Navigation System 530.
