When mission starts direcly on runway, player gets instant penalty for entering runway without announcement

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

When a mission starts on Airports that don’t have taxiways, parking spots or holdshorts (so pretty much most of backcountry grass runways) the player gets an instant “entered runway without announcement” penalty. The aircraft spawns cold and dark on the runway already, so there is no way to announce it after startup of aircraft.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

every time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Start a mission on a airport without parking spots, taxiways or hold shorts where the aircraft spawns directly on the runway. In my case it was a helicopter SAR from LEAF, a skydiving mission from LEDM and some other helicopter agricultural mission where I can’t rember the airports ICAOs.
  1. start up aircraft and go through the usual calls to get ready to taxi
  1. get penalty for “entering runway without announcement”

YOUR SETTINGS

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?

100% agree with this. Sometimes the aircraft is parked on the verge of the runway with the hold short to the left of you (or right). If you move to try to turn the very tight corner to get to the hold, instant ding!

I have even had one parked on the runway and just getting in and turning on battery - ding!

I had this today in the PS5 version.

Same for me, happens often with skydive missions.

Wanted to add that this is happening on helicopter SAR missions, as well.

Yes! Happens at a lot of SAR locations!

happens all the time on PS5.

Same for me

Happens at certain airports. Medium Cargo C208B

Just had a couple of flights in career mode in SU6 beta 1.8.5.0 straight from the runway and didn’t get the penalty anymore. So seems to be fixed there.
