So, here we are. Microsoft Flight 2… I mean flight simulator 2024 is approaching its first week live.
Understandably there was a hotfix to address the login issues.
But when(roughly) can we expect to get fixes to the simulator itself. I cant even fly the B738M because the lights dont even work. I assume no-one ever tested that aircraft during all years of development or alpha, which is terrifying. Of course this is just one tiny example of all the issues in the game.
I am checking the forum every hour to see if there is any improvements being done as we speak, but as usual the beta-testers/users are left to our own in mostly radio-silence. Great job on that improved communication that was promised so many times.
I’m assuming you mean client fixes seeing they have announced updates to the cloud a number of times since launch.
There has been one client hotfix so far. Seeing I think many of the bugs are unfinished systems rather than a finished system failing. I expect to not see many immediate fixes. They need to finish the systems. That normally takes longer. Hopefully not too long, sigh.
If you haven’t downloaded the first fix, go to MS store and download it. If you didn’t use the store then, dunno.
It’s been a week and the south central US still has multiplayer issues. Went on a flight and everyone disappeared, reappeared at random. End of flight group shot my character and aircraft were invisible, thanks so much for ignoring my area.
If you check the News & Announcements category, you’ll see a regular number of communication messages from the development team throughout the course of the release week, which also included the first update to MSFS 2024 to version 1.1.9.0 on Thursday, November 21st. There will also be a developer livestream on our Twitch.tv channel this Wednesday, which will be uploaded to our YouTube channel afterwards!
We’ll post in this category alongside all of our social media platforms, Discord server, Steam forums etc. when the next update goes live.
@Chewwy94
Does your statement mean we will not get any information before the live stream?
November 21st is still a long time without comms, given the current state for a lot of customers they are not able to play at all.
BR
The last written update from the team was on Friday, November 22nd, which was the last day before the weekend. Whilst the team have been hard at work round the clock, we aren’t providing daily updates at this time.
Rest assured that as soon as we have more news to share, we’ll do so on our official platforms as noted in my last response!
@Chewwy94
Thank you for your open replay. This means no MSFS2024 for me at the time.
No comms and apperently no fix.
This is not what I was hopping for but this is the way business is done now.
Rest assured I appreciate your replay and work here as part of the face to the customer.
What!? So “The Team” considers that issues are resolved and no need for daily update?
OK so now instead of 95% of people that cant start the sim, there are 50%, and crisis is finished?
Look at the forums, social media… game still cant start, and the ones that starts does not load assets…
And you all that have no problems, stop acting like “I got the lottery, so what are you all talking about hard life!?”
Look at the stats in Xbox app, only 57% of installs managed to start first flight.
@Dankovic
Be sure this is the reality we have to face. MS is giving a sh… about you, me or anybody else in this case.
I honestly belief this does not count for the community mangers like Chewwy94 and the rest. They just have to deal with the current situation, and I am sure they are not happy too.
Anyhow that’s it.
Total MSFS revenues do best case make up 0.38% of the EBITDA of MS.
All of us are irrelevant.
They will continue sales and declare this a great success. Given the current backlash they might be able to create a provision for this in the financial statement and get some of the losses back as a tax write off.
@SylvesterRocket
I’m well aware of all of that. It’s just so frustrating that we consumers have absolutly no power and that all this can be legal. They even still sell this product today…
