People underestimating just how huge this game was last year & how great it sold. These days you need free content updates to keep a larger player count, which in turn gains more marketplace sales. If/when they make some proper dlc like helicopters/fsx style missions, they can charge for that & I’ll happily buy them (as long as the price isn’t utterly ridiculous). They already spoke about possibly making part of the future paid dlc free for everyone too.
I read last year how the sales were & they made a very tidy profit before it’s released on consoles or taking into account the marketplace (which they get £1-2 from a sale) or DLC.
