When will Xbox consoles get better airliners?

when will there finally be pmdg aircaft, fenix aircaft or flybay aircarft. for the xbox x console?

Possibly soon after SU12 “if” all goes to plan, so we’re going to have to wait a fair while longer.

I’m not sure about the PMDG aircraft, but I know the FBW and Fenix A320s rely on third party programs to work properly. For example, the FBW A320neo requires SimBridge to be running for the MCDU to work, and the Fenix A320 requires the Fenix app to be open to even use the airplane. So with that said, I think it’s unlikely that the aircraft from PMDG, FBW, and Fenix will come to Xbox.

I mostly play on PC, but I do occasionally play on Xbox. I was quite happy to see the A310 come to Xbox.

What would be interesting to know is why this choice of a310 and not a 737, or CRJ ? …

Most likely because the A310 was developed specifically for the 40th Anniversary Update (Sim Update 11). There is a 737 MAX from Bredok on Xbox, but I don’t know if it’s any good. I haven’t seen too many good reviews of it. The PMDG 737 NG is not on Xbox. And the CRJ is from Aerosoft, and I don’t think they have published any of their aircraft on Xbox.

I should also mention that the A310 is different on PC and Xbox. The PC version has higher resolution textures and a modelled cabin, whereas the Xbox version does not. But with that said, the now that the A310 is out on Xbox, I fly that almost exclusively when I’m playing MSFS on Xbox.

Also, in my opinion, highly detailed study level airliners don’t work well on Xbox when compared to the same thing on PC, at least in terms of controlling it. It’s much, much easier to click a button or rotate a knob on PC with a mouse and keyboard than it is on Xbox with a Xbox controller. And yes, I know it’s possible to use a mouse and keyboard with Xbox, but most people don’t do that.

Simply because IniBuilds has one in the works and Microsoft contracted them to use it in the 40th Anniversary.

There are already 738s and a CRJ available. Doesn’t make as much sense for a company to make a plane that already exists in sim. Unique in lanes sell better than yet another version of the same plane.

Just like PC, the right hardware on Xbox makes a world of difference. And yeah, the controller can do it all, but it is SO much easier in simpler planes than complex cockpits.

I mostly fly the DHC-6 and A320/A320neo, and I’m starting to fly the 737 NG more frequently, so a mouse and keyboard in addition to my joystick and throttle quadrant is necessary for me. Although the best control method for the drone camera is by far an Xbox controller, no matter the platform you are using.

:joy:

That controller on PC is about as important as a mouse and keyboard on the Xbox! I always have one no matter where I play.

I would like to use my Xbox controller with MSFS on PC, but it messes with my joystick and throttle, so I can either use the joystick and throttle, or the controller.

untill sim update 12 it wasnt as easy a convertion . Now it is and hopefully bugged air craft on the PC will be fixed before they are moved over.

A330 and A350 are the only i see slated for pc and xbox. THey are still in beta but supposed to be on marketplace this summer. It is said the A380 as well but the project version I am not certain when.
