When you change a control mapping for one of your aircraft profiles, offer to clone that change across other profiles

Could just be a little overlay window that warns you about other profiles’ dependencies and allows you to jump right over to them and clear the dependencies, or skip applying your changes to this specific profile. Check boxes for which profiles to omit from this change.

Sometimes MSFS releases updates that contain new Controls Settings mappings that end up being game-changers for those trying to break free from a mouse. If a new mapping popped up tomorrow for one of my unused Bravo A/B switches, I’d be editing about 30 separate aircraft profiles at this point just to make sure I’m running as efficiently as possible.

Throw some eager engineer into a sprint on this project and see what her or she can do, I don’t think it’d be too tricky to help enhance some of the menu systems within MSFS.

At the very least, in MSFS2024 I hope a lot of this stuff is handled a little more elegantly and I’d be delighted to provide UX feedback throughout the process.

I agree that a dependency checking tool would be helpful. It would be great if when one changes a keybind in one profile it shows me what other profiles have the same keybind for that peripheral.
