Where are all the ships and planes?

I just flew north along the entire length of the Suez Canal. I did not see a single ship or plane despite having traffic settings for both set to 100.

Am I missing something? Why does the world feel so lifeless?

Like I said, my settings are correct. The skies are empty.

This is the first I’ve heard of ships being underwater.

If the ships are under water then maybe the planes are in outer space.

In the year and a half msfs has been out I have seen two ships moving.

In the 8 weeks i’ve been flying i have seen I think about 4 planes, only on the runway or in terminals, should we see any in flight?

I can see them on the VFR map but cannot get a VFR sighting on any, I can also see them on the world map in the planner but none when in flight???

I have live traffic on and all sliders at 100%

Ok but even if that were the case, there are no ships on the Mediterranean Sea or the Red Sea.

Even static ships would be an improvement.

I saw an ocean liner in the San Francisco Bay harbor near Pier 39 doing 360° spins on its center axis.

As this is for Xbox there are no moving ships, just the odd static with the basic game install. Try Seafront global shipping from the market place. You need the paid addition plus the basic free library.

Here is a ship in the Gulf of Suez but didn’t spot anything in the canal. On XSX

As I was thinking the same about why not just use the GAIST addon.

I have global shipping on xbox, it does help at least out over the oceans, even see a few large ship puddle jumping from Key West to Loggerhead lighthouse, off the coast of NY there are tons. A few scenery sets add leisure ships to the marinas, but the rest are u-boats. One of these days they will all surface. Air traffic is OK around main airports but need some major work. It does seem like there’s more live air traffic in the area lately that has mysteriously appeared between updates. With birds in a few areas I regularly fly(east coast) it doesn’t seem so much like I am Legend in there, except the NYC jungle, need to get scenery for that… If anything, they need to tone down trees dramatically in suburban areas and cities.
