Might be old news right now…I stumbled upon this in Xbox. (I honestly had no idea these pics were being saved.) 480+ photos in Series X “Local Path.”
No idea how to access this. 
I did delete a bunch of these random shots to free up some space, you can only do one at a time right now.
It makes me want to delete photos on PC. I did some and I think it messed up the gallery in game. There is DELETE in game but ONE AT A TIME! I have 70 and have barely started. I want that ■■■■ off my OS drive.
Same to me, I would like to select where the photo will be put (drive and folder) please.
I reinstalled my game and lost my photos taken in the world photographer mode. Is there any way to download them?

For those who installed both versions of 2020 and 2024 using XBOX or Windows App Store, the Folder:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Screenshot
Might have been taken by 2020, so you might not find the Screenshot folder there.
Instead, I found my 2024 screenshots on:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Screenshot
