Where are the 2D cockpit panels?

Starting up the game I was really hoping to find a way to display various 2d cockpit instrument panels on my second monitor as you find in most if not all well-known simulators. I have tried to look for various things but didn’t find anything.
This is pretty disappointing for me and others that have a home cockpit that needs this function.
Now I’m praying for 2d cockpit functions to be implemented in the next update so i can use the game in good harmony with my home cockpit.

You can set whatever 2D cockpit view you want with the camera. One of basic learn to fly trainings even has you do it yourself.

That is not the thing he is talking about. What you are referencing to is the close-up view of a 3D cockpit.

He is talking about the 2D panels that FSX had that could be used outside on an second display. From what I know of it now, these panels are not there (yet).

I have not tried this myself, but apparently when you hold down the RIGHT ALT on your keyboard and click a digital screen it will pop out and be draggable. This will probably not work for the instruments, but at least you can get the G1000 planes working on you second monitor?

I didn’t know about this lol, but all it does is pop the display screen out, none of the bezel is shown at all so you cant press any buttons on a seconds screen. It’s awesome for people with external hardware though, that has the buttons on them, or it would be if those buttons were assignable, which none of the G1000 buttons are yet.

Yes this is the first part of the functionallity i was looking for, namely monitoring on a second display. But I would love to see button functionallity and also instrument panel display’s in the next update.
I am honestly a bit surprised that these functions are not available on release while the controller setup capabilities have drastically improved in my opinion.

Its clearly stated in the SDK that FS2020 does not support 2D panels.
