Where are the beautiful fields shown in the trailer?

Shouldn’t this be written up as a bug?

(Doesn’t anyone check for this sort of thing before launching a product?)

The entire way that 2024 has integrated all sorts of dissonant components is truly messy.

Nobody made an 1 to 1 comparisons with the game trailer yet?
I wonder how the yellow field and surrounding looks like now.

It’s probably working as intended though. That’s also how it worked in 2020

Having a POI overriding new photogrammetry and making it worse is working as intended?

Are you certain of that?

This is 1st party content messing up 1st party content. That doesn’t seem correct.

That’s how it was in 2020, so it seems to be their MO

I disabled the old POI package. Looks better with it off to me.

I am sorta giving up on their packages. I wrote up their train wreck with the 787 as a bug. The current 787 is worse than the 2020 version:

It is a pain to write these things up and there is little evidence that they take them seriously. With the 787 there is more that needs to be done to understand what they have done to the AP.

I refunded 2024 shortly after launch so I can’t check myself, but I’m wondering: In the prelaunch marketing they said there were a lot of crop fields generated in the world now, with something like 8-10 different crops. Guess they get used in the crop dusting missions too.

I’m just curious how good they look and whether all the different crops are identifiable? Like, can you see actual sweetcorn or wheat or whatever?
Silly question I know, but this announcement really wowed me at the time and I’m wondering how well it’s been implemented.
How many different crop field types have you been able to spot

In any case, they probably suffer from terrible pop-in?

I crashed ina pineapple patch in the tech alpha. But i havent seen any in production. At least not now, not in january

I just experienced quite a few generated and unripe corn fields in northern Spain while doing a virtual hike set to July. I haven’t spent much time looking otherwise. Edit: I’ve also seen straw bales in fields in southern France/Northern Spain in the autumn.
