I see ratings for items on the marketplace but can’t figure out where to post my own ratings. I’ve looked on this forum for such information but can’t find it.
I have purchased several aircraft and would love to give my input which is mostly favorable but there should be a way to post warnings about some other content as well. The IFR sequence from FSAcadamy is terrible, for example. Their bush series is pretty marginal. These issues can of course be discussed here but what about ratings that show up in the marketplace.
You click the star rating you want to give. That’s it. They do not have an in-sim marketplace written review section, so you can leave them here under third party add on discussion.
Anyone buying from the marketplace should also never go by star ratings and should always read and/or watch YT reviews prior to purchase, as far as I’m concerned.
I fully support written comments. Please implement it.
It’s easier to determine if someone is being objective or being toxic. Plus, all we need to do is look a reviewer’s commenting history to get an idea if we are likely to agree or not. That is, if the reviewer profile name is displayed.
The way it stands now, I have to look at the percentage of five stars versus one stars to try to get an idea if it is worth purchasing. I also go externally and watch some YouTube videos or other store reviews.
OK. I found that when I select a product I own in the marketplace there is a button for posting a rating… just didn’t know where to look. I agree that ratings alone are not good enough. I’ve purchased a few products with less that 4 stars and I’m happy enough with them, but the ratings help me consider a product. I also make it a practice to look at YouTube, and of course there are some areas on this forum where vendors products can be discussed. Thanks for pointing out the ratings option.
Thanks for pointing out that section. We’re all used to the Amazon marketplace where it’s easy to see reviews. You can’t trust them all, of course but it’s place to start.
