I haven’t played Flight Simulator in a while but I want to pick it up again.
The only problem is that my PC is quite full and I don’t have much hard drive space left.
I also cannot play the game with optimal graphics.
Now I am looking for a solution so that I can play the game at full capacity, is there a Cloud option that allows me to play the game at maximum capacity or is it perhaps an option to play the game on an Xbox?
The latter seems difficult to me because of a controller instead of a joystick.
Do you have any tips? or suggestions for me?
Lots of changes have happened since you probably did any flying in this simulator. Why not buy or build a new PC specifically for this great hobby and keep work pc away from this as there are tendencies for flight simulator to misbehave at times. Or alternatively add a 8tb hard disk and install flight simulator on that drive.

I can convert my PC or buy a new one, but this entails very high costs.
I did consider purchasing an external hard drive and then installing the game.
I just don’t know whether this will cause problems in the long run because it is not installed on my regular PC.
Don’t run this game off an external drive, the read/write times are way to slow. You really want to run it off an SSD with an m.2 PCI express port.
Hello there,
Thank you for your post! Your topic has been moved to the Tech Talk subcategory of General Discussion & Community Support. The General Discussion category is meant for discussions that fall outside our other sub-categories.
Please check out these other categories for your future posts:

If you’re happy with your pc keep it and buy an xbox S or xbox X. MSFS will run on either; however, you will have less flexibility to add some of the add on enhancements.
Storage is real cheap nowadays. You can get a 1TB solid state for under $100 (m.2 nvme as well as SATA SSD) and that is more than enough for the sim, all the world updates and most of the “standard” apps and planes both payware and freeware. You’ll have plenty of room left over for scenery after that
However based on your comments, it may be worth electing to just build or purchase a new PC.
Just whatever you do, don’t do this. Trying to stream 150+ gb through a USB cord will NOT bring you good times.
As mentioned by NonstopOyster, you can get the game on Xbox which is the most cost effective, however you’ll be limited as to what you’ll be able to fly and do. Xbox players can do most of the same stuff PC players can, but such addons and enhancements like GSX (for ramp ops), FSRealistic (for additional effects all around), some high fidelity planes, vatsim and more reliable flight tracking and logging applications are unavailable on console (not to mention the ability to install fancy gadgets like yokes and radios panels).
Flight simming is a hobby with a huge financial investment with no guarantees of any returns. Unfortunately even those who wish to get into it casually find the entry price point quite high if they don’t already own an xbox or mid-range computer.
Best of luck!
