Fully agree.
I would like to think that the devs at Asobo are right now in “all hands on deck” mode, focusing solely on fixing the outstanding issues of the sim engine during this week.
My guess is that they must be doing a thorough QA on it. Can you imagine what the response would be like if they rushed it and we find the fix breaks something else. My night flight hours are tanking in the meantime.

about clouds i found something strange, looks like optimization - with heavy weather clouds are very simple, like piece of something outform like deforming ball or something like that, if not many clouds, they are looking no bad as usual

Screw the clouds, I just want that version of the night lighting back. What exists now is nothing like it. Actual variation in the brightness and color and no sepia smear on the ground.

I don’t really care about the night lighting, that will be fixed it’s just a bug, but the clouds is a massive issue, because it’s not a bug, it is that they lied to us and downgraded the sim, along with draw distances, textures, and general lighting. The night lighting bug will be sorted, but the general downgrades I am worried about. I want the old sim back.

Yep. I really hope so, and the LOD distances, and the lighting in general. For me it is crystal clear that various aspects of the sim have been downgraded graphically, LOD distances, textures, clouds, AA, lighting in general. Maybe it is in my mind maybe it isn’t. But to me, and others the downgrade is real. I just really hope they put it back to how it used to be. Don’t get me wrong, the sim can still look stunning and incredibly impressive, but it is horrible to always have that feeling that it used to look better. It is always there at the back of your mind. It’s sort of sickening, like you’ve bought a really nice car, and then someone has taken it away a put a worse engine and gearbox etc. in it. It just doesn’t feel good. I love flight sim and spend so much time on it, I just want it to be as good as it was on release and before SU5. I know these kind of posts are irritating, but if people stop campaigning for it to be put back, asobo will presume people are happy and it certainly won’t be changed.

This sim ctd’s left and right not even close to playable in VR mode or without VR. One hot mess.

Can you please post a comparison photo so we can see the difference? because my clouds look just fine.

Xbox here and I find clouds occasionally poor quality and other times pretty decent, maybe its just particular clouds that are the problem or server issues.
Sometimes low cloud cover can look really pixelated, I don’t expect my series x to produce the best graphics, but when I look at the scenery and am amazed, why can’t the clouds look good as well.
No we are not hallucinating. It’s going from bad to worst on each update. I am almost scared about the next one, since I complelty lost my confidence that Asobo was going to be able to fix the sim after SU5.
I asked before and I ask it again… Asobo… roll it back to SU4 and alllow us to use the sim we payed for, some of us more than 100 euros with the deluxe version, that has airplanes (like the longitude) that doesnt work right since day 1 of the sim release. At least let us enjoy what we had before the doomed SU5.

Well the fact that SU4 made me run at sub-30 fps with major stutters on approach (on medium settings with my RTX 2080 Ti)… I’d vote No… Hahaha.

Imho the last 2 updates after SU-5 were ok, many scenery issues were repaired… and the UI is quicker now, weather is visible on the globe… Hotfix 2 restored ultra mode… ground textures improved… WU-6 solved ATC altitude repeater… so please stop the endless whining about updates ever going down please, it’s depressing. When you feel bad about MSFS please uninstall it, or wait a few months. Guess you own another flight sim you can enjoy ?

Yup a 2080ti was recommended high end but still couldn’t manage high yet alone ultra … which only highlights the fact that until SU5 the devs had been pampering to those massively overspec.
So what me and others payed for the sim as it was advertised and released worths nothing. Got it. Go and buy another sim… sure, after I get my refund I will do it with pleasure. Where I come from this has a name… scam. I am going to keep complaining like many. What I am not going to do atm is congratulate asobo for this release after SU5.

My old EVGA 1080 FTW handled default Ultra, minus Motion Blur with ease.
In fact, the only reason I bought the 3090 FE was because the cooling on my 1080 had started to fail. It was more than acceptable at 1080p. Don’t get me wrong, it ran it hard, typically over 90% utilisation, but I have many videos on YT showing how it ran on that card.
It was advertised recommended high end specs 2080ti, i7-9800x, 50Mbps internet and by high end that meant 4K, mid was 1440p and low 1080p
