Most pre-‘84 Barons had the prop controls on the left and throttles in the middle as well.
Messerschmit 163 “Komet”. Had its maiden flight in 1941. The only operational rocket-powered fighter ever built and the first plane to exceed 1000 km/h.
Also the Me-262, the worlds first jet-powered aircraft. First flew 1942.
Gloster Meteor
Rutan Model 72 “Grizzly”. An experimental STOL canard design

Owner wanted none of this newfangled computer babysitting on his side of the cockpit. No analog gauges = no buy, Beechcraft ![]()
IL-76
E-3
Mirage F1
A-50 Mainstay

I’m not interested in any new planes.
Having Fenix on Xplane increases our options.
DC-8 and 767
I can’t remember its name now, but it’s a small passenger transport aircraft with two turboprop engines, manufactured by BAe. It was one of the first aircraft made by PMDG and flew like a dream
Jetstream 41??
Yes, thanks
I’ve asked for for the P.136 many times. I almost bought a P.149 for real… Love that plane!
L188 Electra!
Still the Dash8 Q100,Q200
I wasn’t familiar with this one.. it’s odd and I like it. I love the interesting designs that came about during that weird transition period from props to jets that still show prop influenced design choices (like the straight tail and wings here). Shame the only Jetliner was cut up for scrap other than the nose.
Yes, she’s a bit gorgeous
. I do wish there was a billionaire who would like to recreate these irl.
They are so unique, sadly I don’t think we often realise the value of these machines until many years later.
I would love a SaRo Princess!
I had forgotten about the C-102 Jetliner. Thanks for bringing it up, @Pilotfirst9999
I’d love to have any 1940s and 1950s aircraft from Avro, Avro Canada, De Havilland, and De Havilland Canada …and from most Commonwealth aircraft manufacturers.
Of the Avro Canada’s aircraft, the one I would most like to have is the CF-105 Arrow.
Hopefully, MSFS 2024 stabilizes and improves enough that top notch developers feel that there is a lucrative market for aircraft like the SR.45 Princess, the C-102 Jetliner, and the CF-105 Arrow.
Oh yes …and for a De Havilland 103 Hornet. ![]()
