Hey everyone. I’ve been looking into getting my own website, went down the rabbit hole and got that frustrated with IONOS, it’s not worth my time! The current website on google which is free is more then adequate for what I’m doing.

I’ve edited the bit on my page regarding “aim to get my own domain”

Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to a brand new website with a domain name.

To my supporters, I’ll be emailing you shortly :+1:

:warning: Website Update :warning:

Hey everyone, I’ve added a new way of viewing the “Rated” PG Lists. You can now click on the “15/15 Beyond Exceptional” and it will open it in it’s own page. You can still click the “Drop down arrow” to view them all on the same page.

The reason for doing this is to give people a choice on how they want to view the “Ratings” as well as the fact I won’t be doing a PDF version of the “Lists” anymore. It takes too much time to do the PDF lists without paying for expensive software. The free versions just don’t do the job properly. So this new way will allow people to print or do their own PDF lists.

When we do get a new CU or WU it’s going to be enough work rating them then adding them to all the lists without having to re-do the PDF versions. Never mind if a PG City has it’s rating changed, the PDF Lists would need to be re-done.

Thanks for your co-operation in this matter :joy:

Happy flying y’all :small_airplane: :helicopter:

Thanks! - this is VERY nice to have and use before my VFR flights. I do a lot of VFR flying, love learning new places in depth and your web site is great to browse before choosing where to fly. Appreciate all the hard work.

Thanks guys, appreciate your kind words!

Now it’s high time I discovered some new PG places that aren’t on the list. Been too busy lately to look. The time I have had flying have been my usual favourite places, Las Vegas, L.A, Tokyo, San Francisco & London :small_airplane:

Hopefully I’ll find another gem soon!

Quick update everyone regarding the website.

After some advice from a very kind forum user, I have purchased a domain name for the website.

This by far was the easiest and cheapest option for me without having to make or transfer the current website to a new one thus saving me quite a bit of time.

All the technical stuff has been done (DNS, Redirect etc). I’m now just waiting for Google Websites to complete the verification process. This usually takes between 1-2 hours but can take up to 24 hours.

EDIT!

It’s LIVE now guys :scream:

Enjoy folks and happy flying :small_airplane: :helicopter:

It’s been a while since any PG Cities have been rated and added to the List.

:australia: Sydney, Australia - Rated MSFS2024 12/15 / MSFS2020 11/15 (possibly?)

This one was never added as I always thought the PG quality and the PG Coverage just wasn’t up to scratch.

After flying around the city again, first without any add-ons and then with the ORBX Sydney Cityscape add-on, I feel it should now be added to the list as well as the fact it’s such an iconic city.

Screenshots without add-ons…
(It seems that there are a few custom skyscrappers in the city now MSFS2024) IMO improving the look of the city quite a bit!

And for those wishing to compare with Orbx Sydney Cityscape…

Next I’ll check the night lighting… to be cont.

The bing maps of Sydney is pretty big but the in game area is tiny, Asobo are holding out on us. Hopefully it’s due for a city update sometime

I think you’re right about Asobo holding out on us. Australia needs a city update! There’s Melbourne with it’s patchy PG near Melbourne Int. Adelaide’s PG Coverage was poor!

So Australia could be a contender for the next CU

Sydney, Australia Night time shots SU4 Beta…

Without add-ons…

Notice the building that isn’t lit up!

With ORBX Sydney Cityscape…

Notice the building that wasn’t lit up now is  Very odd!

There are only minor improvements with the add-on running, just a few buildings, but the night lighting does on a whole look much better in SU4 Beta.

@AirRhodesia I really respect and appreciate the tremendous amount work you have put into this thread and, now, into your website.

Thanks!!!

Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to me to get positive feedback, I’m glad people are liking the website. If you ever have any suggestions or want something added to the website etc you only have to ask and I’ll see what I can do. But no PDF lists lol, not for now at least. :joy:

BTW Sydney, Australia has now been added to the website along with it’s “tiny” PG Coverage Map & Flight Experience! Enjoy!

Happy flying :small_airplane: :helicopter:

@MeusMagister I do apologise as I missed your name off the credits on the Website, I only spotted it as I noticed there are 61 users now, so looked on the Website and added your tag :+1: Think I might have missed someone else’s name off too, but I’ll have to go through all the posts in this topic to make sure as you can’t see a list of all the users on this thread. Forum doesn’t allow for it. So the manual way it’ll have to be

@AirRhodesia You are most welcome.

Thanks for the update on Sydney. It has been a year or more since I took a close look at Australia’s major cities.

No worries about my name not being in the credits. I don’t think I have contributed much beyond a few likes.

I just happy that see that you and regular contributors like @Baracus250 are keeping this going.

Cheers.

I’ve just looked through your posts, and you’re right, but those few likes etc let me know that people appreciate what this thread is about and for me that’s enough to include you in the credits.

I just go by the number of users in this Topic and to me no matter how much or little they have contributed the fact that they are active in the Thread is what keeps it going.

It’s not about who spots how many new PG places there are etc. Any feedback big or small has helped the PG list grow into what it is today. For example if someone says they disagree with a City’s rating or even agree with what myself or anyone else rates a City at, that is contributing! Even if it’s just a thank you!

This whole thread makes the sim so much better and always gives me a new idea, what to explore..thanks so much!

Found 2 small issues: When I click on the PG Coverage Map of Vienna, the website sends me to a map in..China(?)…the same with the map of Brno…its linked to Brasilia.
