Which are your "Top favourite Cities/Places" with the best Photogrammetry to fly in? MSFS2024 + MSFS2020 LIST

Did you find Bari? (oops I see it on the WU city list sorry) Definitely very different!
That poor stadium, they should fix that.

Also, some of the non-PG cities in this area have almost Dali looking melted, rolling areas, whoa.

And Townsville, Australia, on the list, that is amazing. At first I wondered why you listed it, but I just kept flying and it got better and better.

Only tiny mistake I see is Naples, Italy, spelling.

Yes, I wrote a little review of it just a few posts up

“Naples” is fixed now, thanks. BTW this is @AirRhodesia 's topic, but he has been kind enough to let me also work on it with him (to feed my list addiction!).

Not sure what you mean really. If it has melted buildings, that will be PG

Thank you to both of you for the work done, it’s excellent.

Not melted buildings when the PG detail fails to load,
but melted landscape I guess… rolling and twisting like in Palermo but worse, one was melting into a river canyon running through the city. Like a bit too much Salvia Divinorum, say.

None of my pics will load on here, trying to fix that.

Perugia, Italy! Now THAT’S what I’m talking about!

It’s like Ancona but turned up to 12! I already gave Ancona 11/10 so you need a new category for this!

(…but yep, 11/10 from me for Perugia!)

Totally agree with you there. I thought it was awesome. It gets a 11/10 from me too.

Think I might have to make a new category of “12/10 the best of the best” :joy:

It’s also got two nice little airfields in the PG area, Tried landing at LIHW and because it’s PG the grass runway was full of really bad bumps but landed okay without any damage.

Then checked on flightsim.to and there’s a freeware version of it which just makes flying in that area so much better.

https://flightsim.to/file/48021/aviosuperficie-montemelino-magione-pg

Marketplace had LIRZ for about £8 so had to buy it
Also bought LIPY - Ancona International Airport off fightsim.to store for £11.50 but had a discount code for £2.50 so got it for £9 :smirk:

Did a flight between the two in my Piper Comanche 250 and it took about 28mins. A really enjoyable short flight.

Perugia will be added to the list later :+1:

And Madrid? Is at the level of Barcelona in my opinion

Trying to decide between that and the Tega version (not in marketplace but looks better)…??

I’ve just had a flight there and can confirm it looks amazing now. Might have been my internet causing it to not look as good.
Will change the rating to 10/10 when I update it later on. I still think Barcelona is the best but the shear size of Madrid PG is huge!

Yeah, and have added a lot of outskirts to Madrid in last City Update

Sorry my mistake I thought that Madrid was on the List I made so it’ll get added tonight. :+1:

I think the iniBuilds one looks better. If I had seen that one I would have got it instead :worried: Not to worry. The one I’ve got is still really good and makes flying in that area so much better then the default airport.

I was flying my little R22 around Ancona tonight, looks like next stop will be Perugia.

I also flew the bus from Edinburgh to Italy prior to this. On live weather it was dry and sunny in Edinburgh, which was surprising, but when I jumped into the Robinson at Ancona it was dark, heavy rain and no vis. I had to turn live weather off in order to see the pg! I can only assume live weather is broken again so I should go raise a bug for it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yep I think live weather is a bit hit and miss at the moment. The whole of the UK has had a lot of sunshine today, makes a nice change  And recently it’s been warmer in Scotland then it has in England

@Snowleopard3295 I found a really nice little PG place to fly in called Port-Vendres in France that has old Fort, Castles and some old ruins all in PG!
It was listed in Game of the Year Edition - Release Notes (1.21.13.0) Sim Update VII
PG is really nice quality. It’s not a massive area but enough is covered and the PG is blended well with non-PG. Closest airport is 17mins away.

Not sure if I’ll add it to the “list” but had fun exploring that area.

Fantastic, thank you AirRhodesia!

What a tiny place hidden in there, and I like the more arid part of France here too.

A couple more for “The List”!

Zagreb, Croatia = 11/10 (nearest airport: LDZA)
Large area with a lot of variety. Especially like the little villages weaving through the valleys and on the ridges at the north east of the city! There are a few texts on buildings (shop signs, logos etc) that are CRAZY clear resolution. Imagine if in 8 years time the whole world will be of this resolution! Check this out as one example (…and see if you can find it  )!

Pavia, Italy = 8/10 (nearest airport: LIVK)
Very cute place. Not the biggest, not the best, but is pretty interesting to look around. Nice mix of old town style and newer apartments, industrial areas and farms in the countryside.

UP. One of the best topic out there

Good find with Pavia! Another tiny PG pearl.

Zagreb, whoa. The detail seems to be way, way more intricate here!!

maybe the Xbox x detail has been restored, or this is a new PG level, but even the tops of the industrial buildings are too much to believe.

And it’s the whole area.
Frame rate and data loading excellent too.

Still searching for the petrokov megalith…letting the xbox cool down after this flight indeed
