Which Monitors Should I get - I need three

Congrats! As someone who enjoys your videos, looking forward to seeing the new setup in action.

Glad you enjoy the rides, I enjoy the company along the way. I have to build a wall to mount the TV in front of the flight deck, I want to get rid of the monitor/tv stand and butt the monitor up against the 737 shell. I’m looking forward to this much needed upgrade myself… Especially at night!

Never Had an issue with DP to HDMI cables as long as you go with Hi Quality cables :+1:

Can you share which adapter you’re actually using?

In my experience, DP to HDMI adapters are often limited to 1080p 60Hz or 4K 30Hz, features like NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync, VRR, HDR, and high refresh rates can be pretty hit-or-miss depending on the adapter and the chipset it uses.
I’d always connect a monitor / TV that costs over two grand, without using an adapter.

I agree on the adaptor, but MS2024 doesn’t allow networking and when one has seven monitors to connect to a 4090 with D/P’s, makes it impossible to connect without an adaptor.

Works fine in XP12 since they support networking, one computer one monitor setup.

Here is the adaptor: DisplayPort to HDMI 2.1 Cable 6.6FT 8K@60Hz 4K@120Hz Uni-Directional DP (Source) to HDMI (Display) Braided Cord Supports HDCP 2.3 HDR10 Display Port for AMD,NVIDIA,and PC

Thanks so much for the link to that adapter.
The specs look really great, and it’s actually not even that expensive. I’m going to order one right away and test it out, and if it works well, I’ll probably order a few more for my office, since sometimes when you finally find a really good product, it’s already gone a year later when you go looking for it again.

It’s a little unfortunate that the TV world, which still relies almost entirely on HDMI, and the PC world, where HDMI ports will probably disappear sooner or later, have drifted so far apart.

And yeah, having the same kind of external visuals over Ethernet feature that XP has available in MSFS would be absolutely amazing. More network features in general like shared cockpit support would be awesome too.

Anyway, I hope you have a ton of fun with your new monitors!

Yes, Christmas will be coming early this year!
