I have been flying the 2020 version since it was released. My type of flying is GA (C172 usually), and I fly low and slow, AGL is 1000-2000.
I love flying around cities, especially in Florida (KJAX, KHEG and KCRG) are my favorites. With my type of flying, which is the better sim?
I’ve had to do a few addon’s for Jacksonville, however the data is YEARS old, probably 10 years at this point. Has this changed in 2024??
I do a lot of bush flying, and when I made the switch from 2020 I felt pretty overwhelmed with setting up my control schemes and learning the minor differences in how the game works. But at this point, 2024 is far superior to 2020 in my opinion. Bush flying especially. 2020 has some UI stuff I prefer, but when it comes down to it 2024 is the clear winner. It wasn’t always, but I’d say it is as of 2026.
Also, 2024 is the place most new developers are likely going to target with releases. I could be totally wrong and there are definitely exceptions.
