Since VR dropped I’ve been running MSFS VR on my Rift S and was able to snag a Oculus Quest 2 today. I wasn’t able to find a cable to connect via Link so through plenty of researching and trial and error, I was able to get MSFS up and running via Virtual Desktop. I must say that there’s definitely an upgrade in the visual department coming from the Rift S, and I’m surprised to have had several smooth flights via a wireless connection. I can only imagine that it’ll be better if I were to connect the Oculus Quest 2 via a Link cable.
The increase visuals did decrease my FPS from 55 FPS on the Rift S down to 30 FPS on the Oculus Quest 2, although there wasn’t a huge difference that I could tell.
