I agree totally. But as P3DV5 came on the market and I had crashes, malfunctions and graphic issues, I uninstalled V5, re-installed V4 and all was fine. Than I waited for a stable V5 and did the update again…
Unfortunately rollback is not possible in MSFS
Well, at least there’s workaround for most of the issues. I’m just in the middle of a world tour on the A320n. Can’t say that it’s unflyable or seriously annoying.
Microsoft and Asobo SAY you have to update, you just skirt around it severing your internet connection at the right moment.
My update sequences have been without error since the early days, even in the Alpha. but the sim itself, 100% fundamentally different story.
before i even had mods,
my first mod was the A320NX by FBW, worked beautifully, then came the first major update, broke the Engine #1 on even the default 320. now the next major patch, MFD’s dont work on either the FBW 320 or the default package.
now, granted i know bugs are a 100% persistent thing of IT, but, fundamentally, there are several issues that have been present even well into the Alpha Program that are STILL present here, one of these things is almost qualified as game breaking, and thats the B748i Throttle issue, where the throttle input simply stops responding. ive had it stop responding moments after launching a flight, mid-flight, even right on FINAL! for all its worth, i even did a C&D Startup at a gate, the throttles stop responding before i even pushed back out of the gate.
ive sent in no less than 8 tickets on this issue, and i send one for each version of the sim going back to the Alpha program for this very issue, plenty of other people have reported it also, but i have yet to see it pop up on the “Known Issues” list.
this isn’t just a “having mods” issue, this is a core sim issue.
im sticking with FS2020, but frankly, the sheer minimalist communication style from Asobo, has me wondering. all we get are random videos, media presentations and so far 1 Q&A.
only a handful of staff members from Microsoft do any of the communications. now im sure Asobo has hidden profiles where they can read these forums but we cannot see them at all but the Mods and the MS Guys can, and yes, i do give props to Asobo for taking on this project as a very first major dedicated simulator to which is a very first for them, and 100% reworking the flight models from the FSX model.
i can say im content with the results, sure, plenty of tweaking needs to be done. there are plenty of minor things that can be changed or fixed, many of us users have pointed them out.
regardless, the amount of whining and downright griping though, this needs to be squashed. if you are not going to provide constructive feedback, then dont say anything, persistent whining and crying about this and that only shows you have no real criticism and just want to make stink about the sim itself.

My connection has no problem, has never been. I said I updated through Store app as soon as I knew there was an update. My updates and the game itself works just fine every time. No “bugs” or “not working” things, like most of you have. And then I said I didn’t start the game before I did the Store update, ***. So I was wrong about that. But it doesn’t matter, because updates works great!
Store update was about 600 Mb and then about 8 Gb in game…
So what the *** are you mumbling about connection?
Fix the connection in your head before telling me what to do without even having any problems with MSFS.

PS. Did you mean by “rest of us” all the people who are trying to be smart, but actually has no clue about things they are talking about? You must be one of those who are all the time crying here how something doesn’t work, and how they should fix it as soon as possible.
And if someone doesn’t have any problems, it totally triggers your jealousy mode. And then you just have to play with your dirty mouth a little, or lot… Shame on you!

And I do it every time through store app first, because that way IT REALLY WORKS every time.

and im hardly a boy, 39 year old IT Professional and retired SAR/HEMS Pilot.
The issue is that there is absolutely no tech support. So people are left to complain on here in the hope that Asobo will take notice, which thankfully they have.
