White circles on world map

Hello there,
I don’t know wether this is the right topic for it but on the world map I occasionally get white circles around airports that I want to select.
It is actually kinda annoying not to see the surface of the airport.

Anyone else with the problem? Is there a workaround?
Thank you very much in advance guys.

Hello there,

Thank you for your post! Your topic has been moved to the Menus & Activities subcategory of General Discussion & Community support since this seems more of a help request. The Bug Reports category is more for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users can reproduce using the required template. If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input, please use the General Discussion & Community Support category.

You can also check out these other categories for your future posts:

  • Aircraft
is where you discuss current or future planes coming to MSFS as well as assistance with liveries.
  • World
is where you discuss scenery, airports, and weather.
  • Aviate, Navigate, Communicate
is where you ask for help with flying.
  • Tech Talk
is where you discuss installation, graphics, drivers, performance, CTDs, peripherals, and hardware.
  • Menus & Activities
is where you discuss activities (landing challenges, bush trips, etc), plus anything accessed by the menus including the Marketplace, settings, logbook, cameras, etc.

That looks like some kind of moire pattern, but I’ve never seen it on the map. The only think I can think of that might cause it would be a second map image overlaid on top of the first. Rename your Community folder or just drag it to the desktop, then test again… If you still get it, open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and end the sim from there. When you restart the sim, it will think it crashed and give you the option for Safe Mode, which also disables Marketplace addons. If you’re still getting it from there, then you definitely have an issue.

Some people have also reported this when they tried to use google maps instead of the bing map and did some so called low level tweaking!
